HOFNER concert guitar, model 485G (Large Body), cataloged from 1953, made in Germany.
This model  date from the 50s, with its tyîcal 50s’ carved headstock (Hofner later adapted a more “modern” – conventional – headstock).
Solid spruce top
Beautiful flamed maple back and sides.
2-piece mahogany neck and headstock – carved headstock
Rosewood bridge
brass tuners
Inlaid rosette carved in wood.
Hofner logo on bottom of body.
Mahogany headstock.
Slightly curved Manouche-style back.
Its sounds warm, soft, balanced sound – A quality Hofner acoustic, can be played with Nylon or Folk strings. Currently new Augustine Nylon strings.

Body width: 365mm
Fork: 645mm
Traces of wear and minor dents give it its old “rustic” look, varnish cracking on the surface, but no breakage, straight neck, easy to play, frets in good condition, guitar in good overall condition considering its age.
Delivered with a used Hardcase, steel fastener oxidized but the case closes works correctly and of course protect.
A rare model of very old quality.
