Description
ARTHUR HENSEL
OM acoustic folk guitar (Parlor) , solid woods.
Made in Canada in 1937
Arthur HENSEL was a top-quality luthier from Canada, working for the R.S. WILLIAMS company before setting up his own business.
His models are high qualities like the great American brands from the same period, and are particularly meticulous. Above all, they develop a very high quality of sound: vibrant tone, lots of dynamics.
The instrument is made entirely of solid wood:
Spruce top with X-bracing (like MARTINs)
Honduras mahogany back and sides
Brazilian rosewood fingerboard
Indian rosewood bridge
Headstock logo and name sculpted in wood.

The neck is straight, the frets are in good condition and the action is low, especially for a very old guitar. It is perfectly tuned. The tuning machines work perfectly.
Traces of wear and light dents, oxidation of the tuning machines, but in (very) good condition considering its age.
